As a retired school teacher who taught outdoor ed and mentored kids through outdoor experiences, Larry Condra continues to teach and reach folks with outdoor learning. He is an Area Chief for TPWD Aquatics Ed. And an archery specialist with the Texas Archery in Schools Project through TPWD. He teaches camping, outdoor cooking along with various other outdoor skills to scout groups, church groups, Big Sisters Big Brothers, and now with Fishing's Future. Larry has passed the love of fishing to his own children and now is enjoying doing the same with his grandchildren.
”Fishing is my main love in the outdoors,“ says Condra, "And I can help families reconnect through fishing and spending time outdoors TOGETHER! What a wonderful thing to help folks to learn an outdoor skill, put it into practice while strengthening their familiy ties. A win win situation in my eyes and what a joy I get while doing it. Plus if we catch fish it is all the better.”
Come on out for one of our Kids Fish Camps and see for yourself. We always need volunteers who are willing to give a little of themselves to help others. You will not regret the time you spend helping others to learn more about and enjoy the outdoors.
