Florida – Vamos A Pescar – First Event: Basic Fishing I

This event is being held as part of the Vamos A Pescar grant. There will be a total of five events. Each event will be different, so we would like everyone to attend as many events as possible. Having folks attend multiple events helps us meet the requirements of the grant.

The dates for the events are March 26, April 23, May 21, June 18, and September 10. We will also be hosting live online workshops in July and August.

Basic Fishing I: Introduce fishing regulations. Discuss water safety. Teach about the different types of rods and reels. Practice casting with “Back Yard Bass”. Take participants fresh water fishing. End event with trash clean up.
