When Tony Gonzalez was a youngster it seemed his parents would always know where to find him; he’d be found standing beside one of the areas local ponds or lakes catching Sunfish and Largemouth Bass, often using night crawlers dug up from his mothers flower beds. Some of Tony’s most fond memories come from sitting on the bank of Shy Pond with his father catching loads of Bluegill.

While Tony's roots may sprout from Bluegill, and Bass, he is a die-hard saltwater angler. He has spent the past 6 years fishing up and down the Texas coast catching, Trout, Redfish, and Flounder. Tony also has a deep love for competition and routinely competes in 8 - 12 professional level Redfish tournaments a year.

Tony currently works in the industrial electrical contracting industry as a safety representative, and is anxiously awaiting his first child soon to be named Hunter E. Gonzalez, who should be here around the beginning of Sept. The coming of Tony's first child brought him to a very important question, "What if I had not become a fisherman, and who would I be if I had not?" Scared of the answer Tony has dedicated himself to presenting his priceless learning and enjoyment of the sport of fishing to as many families and children as he possibly can. Tony realizes that fishing and the outdoors can truly bring families together, and save potentially lost personal connections by teaching ethics, teamwork, and how to care for the things around you.
