Gus Escobar Born in Abilene, Texas and a Native of what we have come to know as the Hill Country of the Valley Rio Grande City (Starr County) which is known for great Whitetail hunting and the home of The Best Fishing Lake in the Country "Falcon Lake".  Gus has been involved in athletics and the outdoors ever since he was old enough to hold a rod or a baseball.  “I love sports and working with kids and because of that passion he coached for many years while his three children were growing up.”

Gus has been employed with the U.S. Postal Service since 1986 and is the Postmaster of Rio Grande City where he makes his home with his lovely wife of 30 years Dalinda.  Gus is the proud grandfather of four grand kids ages 5 to 1 who he is already getting involved in hunting and fishing.

“I have been fishing Falcon Lake for over 40 years.” He states and because of his knowledge and passion for the sport he is currently on the Pro Staff Team for Livingston Lures of San Antonio TX, Pro Angler Marine of San Juan, TX. and Titeline Rods of Conroe, TX.  He fishes 1-2 tournaments a month professionally and recreationally about 10 times a month. “My biggest fish to date was caught during the filming of the TV Show "The Texas Sportsman".  The fish weighed in at 12.4 pounds.

Gus is the owner of a new Lodge in the Falcon Lake area called Triple "G" Lunker Lodge which will include a hotel, sell grocery, gas, tackle, a restaurant and guided fishing and hunting trips will be available.

Gus Escobar am currently the Vice President of "El Tanque Water Supply" an elected position he has held for 11 years.
